Kaiserlicher Seiden Peking "Drachen-Palastteppich" mit Gold-Metallbrokat antik (Qing Dynastie) "Mit Eigentümer Bezeichnung aus den Palästen in der verbotenen Stadt Peking" Signatur: ** Xing Dian Yu Yong" = "Gemacht für den kaiserlichen Gebrauch im Palast **", Nordostchina, 19.Jhd., reine Naturseide mit Gold-Metallbrokat geknüpft auf Baumwolle (Zierfransen in Seide). Die obere Schrift dieses Exemplars gibt an das dieser Teppich mit metallbroschierten Nischen eigens nur für den kaiserlichen Gebrauch in einer der Hallen in der verbotenen Stadt gefertigt wurde. Eines der fünf alt-chinesischen Schriftzeichen ist sehr schwer lesbar und somit schwierig zu bestimmen für welche Halle dieser Kaiserteppich bestimmt war. Das dekorative allover Feld wird von fünf fünfklauigen Kaiser-Drachen belegt. Eine Swastika Meander Bordüre rahmt das Feld. Die verbotene Stadt Peking bestand aus verschiedensten Palästen, jeder dieser Palästehatte mehrere Räume in dem diese sogenannten Imperial Carpets hingen. Seltener Teppich aus dem Reich der Mitte mit hohem Ethnologischen und kulturhistorischem Wert. Absolute Rarität,ca. 250 x 150 cm, EHZ: 2-3. Imperial Chinese Silk & Gold Metal-Thread Beijing Dragon "Palace Rug" (Signed: "** Xing Dian Yu Yong" = Made For The Imperial Use Of The Palace Of **) "Qing- Dynasty", Northeast China, 19th century, pure silk/gold-metal-threads/cotton- foundation/fringes in silk, approx. 250 x 150 cm, condition: 2-3 (good condition), very rare and valuable Chinese imperial rug with five five-clawed imperial dragons hunting the flaming-peal, the old-Chinese inscriptions in the upper part says that this palace-rug is made for the imperial use (the last two signs are not readable, which is usually the name of the palace), (the forbidden city consisted of different palaces, each of these palaces had several rooms in which these palace-rugs hung), absolutely rare, museum quality, (Literature Comp.: D.Leslie Blau & Danon, The Flower of Buddha, Silk and Metal Carpets from the Forbidden City).
