Georg Tyrahn, 1860 Königsberg-1917 Karlsruhe, Studium an der Akademie Königsberg, dann in Karlsruhe bei Ferdinand Keller und an der Academie Julian Paris, hier: Der erste Geburtstag, rückseitig auf altem Etikett so betitelt, Öl/Lwd, rechts unten signiert, ca. 80x100cm, R. ca. 100x120 cm, Rahmen leicht besch., Familienidylle mit lebhafter Szene von Mutter und Kindern, zurückhaltende Farbigkeit bei virtuoser Setzung der Grau- und Weißtöne, Hintergrund gehobener bürgerlicher Stand mit Gemälden an der Wand, hohe Stofflichkeit, gelungene Inkarnate, wohl eines der Hauptwerke des Künstlers, aufgeführt in: F. v. Bötticher: Malerwerke des neunzehnten Jahrhunderts, Band 2, Seite 906, Nr. 5, ausgestellt bei der großen Berliner Kunstausstellung 1894 |
