Perpedil, Kaukasus, um 1880, Wolle auf Wolle, ca. 177 x 118 cm. Sehr seltenes Sammlerstück. Ein Beispiel eines rotgrundigen Perpedils ist dieses stueck ein exakter Prototyp für klassischen Aufbau. Die Karagashliblüten im Viererverband sind von 2 deutlich unterscheidbaren Tierpaaren umstellt. Die Schwertmotive tragen zwei spiegelbildliche Adlerabstraktionen in vertikal wechselnden, horizontal gleichen farben. siehe Battenberg Orientteppiche Band 11979 Kaukasische Teppiche Seite 335 Bild 375, Altersbedingt guter Zustand. |

Perpedil, Caucasus, around 1880, wool on wool, approx. 177x118 cm. Very rare collector's item. An example of a red-ground perpedile, this piece is an exact prototype for classical composition. The Karagashli flowers in a group of four are surrounded by 2 clearly distinguishable pairs of animals. The sword motifs carry two mirror image abstractions of eagles in colors that alternate vertically and are the same horizontally.
